RescueMate®: the ultimate First Aid solution in emergencies
AED Solutions Ltd. introduces the RescueMate®, a unique concept for the application of First Aid in emergencies, centering around the RescueMate® Emergency Instruction Device (EID). The EID is an interactive ‘speaking’ device that guides emergency response personnel step-by-step during acute emergencies. When using the RescueMate®, the chances of an incorrect diagnosis or a subsequent incorrect treatment are significantly reduced. The RescueMate® EID furthermore also simplifies the education and training of emergency response personnel.
Studies have shown that in serious emergency situations, when people’s lives are in danger, even trained emergency response personnel tend to be hesitant in taking immediate and decisive action. It turns out that knowledge attained by means of conventional training and education, has already subsided from memory within three months. Retraining or supplemental training is typically planned only once or twice a year. This is a liability, because response personnel lose their specific knowledge and competencies, and become unsure of what to do when an emergency arises.
RescueMate® offers the solution, by creating on-site training options based on competency-directed educational and training modules, and can offer support by certified educational institutions. Should an emergency arise, the RescueMate® EID offers the answer to make sure that response personnel are supported and receive guidance when necessary.
The RescueMate® platform represents significant opportunities for new educational and training modules. One advantage of the RescueMate® EID for customers is greater quality at lower costs.
The RescueMate® EID is equipped with a clever ‘decision tree’ based on simple Yes/No questions. By answering these questions, the EID will guide the response worker towards the proper protocol for the treatment of the particular emergency situation. It involves a sequence of three steps:

- Answering
- Following instructions
RescueMate® is available with an accessory First Aid kit, which consists of 6 extensive injury packs. The kit is delivered as a suitcase-style box or as part of the All-in-one Backpack. The box’s packets include all the necessary First Aid supplies, and are designated with symbols that correspond to those on the EID, and are very user-friendly thanks to the colour codes and texts. The All-in-one Backpack is furthermore also equipped with a Philips AED.
